Love is the reason…money is the way

If you are a creative you are quite likely doing the work you do because you love doing it; I hope that's the case. 

I've worked on plenty of projects over the years I've been so honoured to be part of that I would have done the work for free. 

Some days I smile and think, "I'm getting paid sitting here all day doing something I love." That's fantastic; not everyone can say the same thing. Many people work jobs they hate just to pay the bills, so to do something you love and get paid for is an extraordinary situation to find yourself in.

What makes you a professional is that you get paid for the service you offer. Don't confuse your motivation for starting your business with the reason you run a business. 

Love what you do, but if you're a professional, make sure you get paid.
